***EXCLUSIVE*** NEKO HARBOUR, ANTARCTICA – UNDATED: A kayaker encounters a Minke whale in Neko Harbour, Antarctic Peninsula, Antarctica. AN EXPEDITION medical doctor Andrew Peacock captured the exact moment a 20 foot Minke whale passed within arms reach beneath his kayak in the Antarctic Peninsula. While on a three week yacht expedition with Henry Cookson Adventures earlier this year, 45 year-old Andrew from Queensland, Australia took a series of photos of breathtaking scenery and wildlife from the icy waters in his kayak. Andrew spotted the whale one day from the yacht, but got a closer look later on when the inquisitive whale swam just a foot below him to inspect the floating red kayak hull. He took these photos with a Canon DSLR camera and used a variety of lenses that he carried in a camera bag chest harness which allowed him to paddle with ease.
